What do I need to provide for a mobile appointment?
For mobile hair services, we simply need a comfortable chair near a power outlet and access to a sink if possible. We bring all necessary equipment, premium products, and a full salon setup. For wedding services, we require adequate space for the bridal party and good lighting.
What areas do you serve with mobile services?
We serve all areas within 50km of Waterloo, including Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, Elmira, Baden, St. Jacobs, St. Clements, Woolwich, New Hamburg, and surrounding communities. If you're unsure if we cover your area, just ask!
Can you do hair color at home?
Absolutely! Mobile hair coloring is one of our most popular services. We bring professional equipment including portable bowls, mirrors, and all necessary supplies. The result is the same salon-quality color you'd get in our Waterloo location, with the convenience of staying at home.
Hair Coloring
What is balayage and why is it popular?
Balayage is a French word meaning 'to sweep' or 'to paint.' It's a freehand highlighting technique where color is painted onto the hair to create a natural, sun-kissed look with softer regrowth lines. It's popular because it requires less maintenance than traditional highlights, grows out beautifully, and gives that coveted natural dimension that looks effortlessly beautiful.
How much does balayage cost?
Balayage pricing starts at $180 for partial balayage and ranges from $250-$350 for full balayage, depending on hair length, thickness, and the desired look. This includes a toner if needed and a blow-dry style. We use premium products like Olaplex and Redken for the best results.
How long does balayage take?
Plan for 2.5 to 4 hours for a full balayage service. The exact time depends on your hair length, current color, and desired results. We'll provide a more accurate time estimate during your consultation or booking.
Can you fix a bad hair color from another salon?
Yes! Color correction is one of our specialties. Whether you've experienced hot roots, uneven color, or unwanted tones, we can help restore your hair to a beautiful shade. Using Olaplex bond-building technology, we can often repair damaged hair while correcting the color. Pricing ranges from $200-$500 depending on complexity, with a consultation required.
What's the difference between balayage and highlights?
Balayage is painted freehand for a more natural, blended look with softer regrowth. Traditional foils create more uniform, dramatic highlights with distinct regrowth lines. Balayage is generally lower maintenance and grows out seamlessly, while foils offer more controlled, precise lightening. We recommend balayage for a natural look and foils for maximum brightness.
Do you use Olaplex?
Yes! Olaplex is included with all our color services at no extra charge. Olaplex is a revolutionary bond-building treatment that repairs disulfide bonds damaged during chemical processing. It makes color last longer, hair feel healthier, and significantly reduces damage. We believe in using only the best products for your hair's health.
How often should I get my hair colored?
For root touch-ups, we recommend every 6-8 weeks. Balayage clients can often go 3-4 months between appointments since the grow-out is more seamless. We'll provide personalized recommendations based on your hair type, color, and lifestyle during your appointment.
Hair Treatments
What is a keratin treatment?
Keratin is a smoothing treatment that infuses keratin protein into the hair shaft to reduce frizz, enhance shine, and make hair more manageable. Our formaldehyde-free keratin treatment is perfect for combating Ontario humidity and gives you smooth, silky hair for 3-5 months. It's ideal for curly, wavy, or frizzy hair that you want to straighten without harsh chemicals.
How much does keratin treatment cost?
Keratin smoothing treatments range from $300-$500 depending on hair length and thickness. The treatment includes a professional blowout and takes 2-3 hours. It's a fantastic investment for anyone struggling with frizz or wanting easier styling routines.
What is hair botox?
Hair botox is a deep conditioning treatment that repairs damaged hair, adds intense hydration, and creates a smoothing effect without straightening the hair. Unlike keratin, hair botox focuses on repair and hydration rather than smoothing. It's excellent for dry, brittle, or over-processed hair and leaves hair looking healthier and more vibrant.
What is Olaplex and do I need it?
Olaplex is a bond builder that repairs broken disulfide bonds in the hair, which are responsible for strength and elasticity. It's essential for anyone with damaged, color-treated, or chemically processed hair. We include it with color services, but standalone Olaplex treatments are available for $50-$150 depending on the intensity of treatment needed.
How long do treatments last?
Keratin treatments typically last 3-5 months with proper care. Olaplex treatments are cumulative—the more you do, the healthier your hair becomes. Hair botox results last about 2-3 months. We recommend combining treatments with our recommended home care products for best results.

Travel fees may apply for venues outside our standard service area. We recommend booking 6-12 months in advance for wedding season dates.
What is a bridal trial and why do I need one?
A bridal trial is a pre-wedding appointment where we experiment with different hair and makeup looks. It's your chance to see how styles photograph, how they feel, and what makes you most comfortable. We recommend scheduling your trial 2-4 weeks before your wedding to allow time for any adjustments and so you can see your look in different lighting.
Can you do hair and makeup for my entire bridal party?
Yes! We specialize in bridal party services and can accommodate groups of any size. We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance for larger parties to ensure we have adequate staff and time. Group rates may be available—contact us for a personalized quote.

Yes! We offer specialized mother of the bride and groom makeup at $100+HST per person. We bring a complete mobile salon setup including professional lighting, mirrors, tools, and all products. We arrive 15-30 minutes before the first appointment to set up in your bridal suite or designated getting-ready area. We just need access to power outlets and a comfortable chair for each person being styled.
Can you do a walkthrough of my venue before the wedding?
For bridal party bookings, we're happy to discuss your venue's setup and logistics. We're familiar with the bridal suites at most major Waterloo Region venues. If you're at a venue we haven't visited before, we can coordinate details in advance to ensure a smooth setup on your wedding day.

We book up fast, especially on weekends, so we suggest booking 1-2 weeks in advance.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Same-day appointments are often available, especially for simpler services. However, we can't guarantee availability, so we recommend booking in advance. If you need an urgent appointment, give us a call and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a cancellation fee. This allows us to offer the slot to another client. For wedding appointments, we require 72 hours notice. We understand that life happens—please call us as soon as possible if you need to make changes.

Products & Care
What products do you use?
We use only premium professional-grade products including Olaplex for bond building, Redken for color, and Wella for treatments. We never use box dyes or drugstore products—they simply can't deliver the same results or protect your hair's health. We can recommend specific products for at-home care to extend your salon results.
What products do you recommend for at-home care?
We recommend professional products specifically designed for your hair type and color. Using salon-quality shampoo and conditioner makes a significant difference in maintaining color vibranity and hair health. Ask us for recommendations during your appointment—we'll suggest products based on your unique needs and budget.
How should I care for my color-treated hair?
Wait 48-72 hours before shampooing newly colored hair. Use cool water when rinsing to seal the cuticle. Use a color-safe, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Limit heat styling when possible and always use a heat protectant. Schedule regular toning appointments to maintain vibrancy. We can provide detailed care instructions specific to your color and treatment.
How often should I wash my hair?
For most hair types, every 2-3 days is ideal to maintain natural oils. However, this varies by hair texture, lifestyle, and personal preference. If you exercise frequently or have an oily scalp, daily washing may be necessary. We can recommend a personalized schedule based on your specific hair type and goals.
Kids & Families
Do you do children's haircuts?
Yes! We welcome children of all ages. Ourstylists are patient and experienced with making kids feel comfortable during their haircut. We recommend booking the first appointment of the day for young children. Children's haircuts (12 and under) start at $25.
What age do you start doing color for kids?
We take a conservative approach with minors. For children under 16, we generally only do color for special occasions (like formals or dances) with parental consent. We use the gentlest products available and always do a patch test first. Please call to discuss your specific situation.
Can I bring my children to my appointment?
You're welcome to bring children to your appointment. However, for safety and to ensure we can focus on delivering your best look, we recommend arranging childcare when possible. For mobile appointments, children should be supervised by another adult during the service.
